SAN RAFFAELE TELETHON CORE FACILITY FOR CONDITIONAL MUTAGENESIS
- 3 Years 2004/2007
- 375.000€ Total Award
The Core Facility for Conditional Mutagenesis (CFCM) generates animal models for research on genetic diseases. This type of work requires physical premises, organization, equipment and technical competence that are simply unavailable and totally uneconomical at the level of the single lab. The existence of a Facility supported by Telethon enables all researchers to generate animal models. Moreover, a single dedicated Facility increases efficiency and lowers the number of mice necessary to obtain a specific experimental result.CFCM has already been active for 4 years, and has provided services of the highest technical standards to users, plus advice and training. It has enjoyed a considerable success within the Telethon community.
